We were fortunate to participate in this unique watercolor-inspired wedding, designed by Brynn Swanson, with First Look Events, a treasured Weather or Not Vendor. Brynn created the most detailed and spectacular wedding week, complete with all guests attending a Colorado Rockies baseball game and having the bridal luncheon attendees shuttled to the lunch by pedicabs!
In Brynn's words, “I was in the thick of planning a watercolor-inspired wedding when I looked at the projected forecast for July and it was going to be HOT. The ceremony was in the middle of a field with no shade and the client was very worried about their guests being too hot. I immediately thought of Nil and picked up the phone. She helped organize 250 parasols that matched our color scheme perfectly. As an event designer, it was important to me to have the parasols not just be functional but also a beautiful part of the decor. We placed the parasols on every chair at the ceremony, fading from yellow to dark purple. When they were all placed it was like artwork. Then, when all the guest opened them, it added beautiful color to the green open field.
For the day before, we planned the welcoming dinner for all 250 guests at the Colorado Rockies game. My client wanted to make sure that guests had blankets to sit on while they watched the 4th of July fireworks show on the field. I called Nil and she had purple, black and grey blankets shipped in and embroidered with my clients wedding date. Every guest was blown away with the quality and loved that they could take them home. No matter the temperature outside, too hot or too cold, Nil and her team are always my first call to make sure our guests are comfortable and stylish at the same time.”
