We were giddy about this wedding from the moment Lori got the call from premier event planner, Mark Paquette with Mark Christopher Weddings & Events. Mark is one of our trusted partners and we really love working with him. He is considerate of his clients' needs, thoughtful to his partners, and is the kind of leader who builds a team of professionals to deliver fantastic events. This wedding was to be held at Highlands Ranch Mansion, one of Denver's superb estates. The style: elegant vintage. Mark was calling us because he wanted to be sure that they could keep the guests comfortable, regardless of whether it was the highest heat of summer or an unexpected sprinkle. As Mark mentioned in his article What Happens when Weather is the Uninvited Guest at Your Wedding “It’s very important when planning your celebration to consider the back-up needs. You selected a date during a time when the weather is usually mid-80s, rain season has passed and the snow is not a threat. The late afternoon ceremony on the lawn of a beautiful mansion is going to be decorated with expensive chairs, costly flowers, and a hundred of your closest family and friends. The reception, set on the mansion’s back patio, should be the perfect setting for a sunset view the guests will enjoy from their Chiavari chairs at tables adorned with satin linens and intricate lace overlays. Then, a guest who was not invited arrives – rain”. He wanted to make sure his couple's special day was protected so he chose our 2-person 16-panel Umbrellas in Ivory. These umbrellas complemented the gorgeous vintage chairs rented from Chairished. Against the bright green grass, we think this ceremony is breathtaking. Apparently, just around ceremony time, a windy rain storm was brewing. The talented Nicole Nichols Photography captured the above ceremony shot. She mentioned in her blog post about the wedding, "Thankfully, with proper planning, there were enough large umbrellas to keep everyone dry, which could have quickly turned into a hundred soaking wet guests if it wasn’t for the fashionable matching umbrellas by Weather or Not For Your Guests." Mark and the entire team created a beautiful experience for the guests, despite Mother Nature's plan. We were honored to be part of this occasion. Best wishes, Elizabeth & Kevin!
