Master event planners are worth their weight in gold. They take each detail (design and logistical) into account when creating an experience for guests. Monica Richard, owner of Mon Amie Events, is that kind of planner. When she called Weather or Not, she told Nil about the multinational/multilingual wedding she was planning in Indianapolis, Indiana. The couple was a chic Colombian bride and a debonair Frenchman. It sounded fantastic! Nil was super-impressed that Monica was pulling together all the details in only eight short weeks. As they chatted, Monica mentioned that the ceremony was planned for a courtyard that was surrounded by tall buildings. Though it was a beautiful venue, she was concerned about the guests being too hot in the summer sun. Monica thought renting umbrellas would be the perfect way to keep the guests shaded and cool while adding a pop of color. She selected our 2-Person 16-Panel Umbrellas in Merlot. We love the design that Monica created by propping the umbrellas against the mahogany Chivari chairs and placing bags of red rose petals on the chairs. Just gorgeous!
