About Us

At Weather or Not, we believe comfort is key to a successful event—and weather should never get in the way of a good time. That’s why we specialize in thoughtfully curated rentals that help planners, venues, and hosts prepare for anything the forecast throws their way. Whether you’re planning months ahead or managing last-minute changes, we’re here to make it stress-free, seamless, and stylish.

Who we are

Nil Saltuk, founder

Weather or Not was founded in 2010 with one clear mission: to help planners and hosts deliver comfortable, memorable events—no matter what the weather brings.

At the heart of Weather or Not is Nilufer (“Nil”) Saltuk, a former wedding planner who’s been in your shoes. With years of event experience and a deep-rooted love of hospitality inspired by her Turkish heritage, Nil saw firsthand how quickly an unexpected weather shift could derail even the best-laid plans.

That’s what sparked the idea: what if weather challenges didn’t have to feel stressful or thrown together at the last minute? What if they could be handled with the same care and polish as every other detail?

Today, Weather or Not is a boutique, woman-owned business that works closely with planners, venues, corporate hosts, and individuals to provide thoughtfully curated rentals designed to keep guests comfortable—rain, shine, heat, or chill. From umbrellas and parasols to blankets and fans, our products are hand-selected for both function and style.

But what truly sets us apart isn’t just what we offer—it’s how we show up. We’re small, nimble, and hands-on, which means you’ll never be just another order. You’ll get responsive communication, reliable service, and the peace of mind that your rentals will arrive on time, in great condition, and ready to make you look good.

Rain or shine, we’ve got you—and your guests—covered.

Our Commitment

At Weather or Not, we’re committed to delivering comfort—not just for your guests, but for you, too. Whether you're a planner, a venue manager, or a host doing it all yourself, we show up with the kind of service that makes you feel supported every step of the way.

We’d love to hear about your event plans, and we promise to help however we can—even if that means pointing you to another company that better fits your needs. That’s just how we do things.

Thank you for supporting a small, woman-owned business. Weather or Not is a passion project turned full-time mission, rooted in our family’s generations-long tradition of hospitality. When you work with us, you're not just renting umbrellas or blankets—you’re getting resourceful, responsive service from people who truly care.

What We Stand For

Vision

Giving the world a hug, one event at a time.

Mission

We help people celebrate comfortably by providing resourceful solutions delivered with integrity.

Core Values

We live and work by the following principles—and we’re proud to uphold them in every interaction:

Integrity. We stand by our word—always. If we say we’ll do it, we do it.

Dependability. From last-minute pickups to early-morning deliveries, we’ll go above and beyond to get it done. (Yes, we’ve had orders ready in six minutes—but a little more notice is appreciated!)

Resourcefulness. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we’ll help you find it—or connect you with someone who can. Your comfort is our goal, even if it’s outside our catalog.

Enthusiasm. We do this because we love it. We seek out partners and suppliers who feel the same. Passion makes the difference.

Personal Connection. We believe personal connection is what turns an order into a relationship. We value every conversation, collaboration, and celebration.

Let’s help your guests celebrate comfortably.
